Although Cyprus is a place to come
and relax you can have a whole lot of
fun at the same time.
Cyprus and Paphos in particular has a
great coast line in and out of the
water. As such it is a very
popular place for
scuba divers.
With diving available all year round due
to the great climate, the water
temperatures ranging from 16 - 28
degrees just bring your wetsuit and hop
on into the crystal clear
Mediterranean....oh and don't forget
your underwater camera.
A big draw for Advanced Divers and above
is the Zenobia Wreck at Larnaka.
Dive Schools/Centres all around the
island visit this 172 meter Roll On -
Roll Off ferry that sank after technical
difficulties at least once a week.
If staying above the water is your
thing then that's okay as there is
plenty to do on the surface.
Jet skiing,
Parasailing,
Jet boat
or just a cruise can all be done from
the beaches and harbour in Paphos and
Coral Bay.
On dry land the options as just as
wide, if you don't feel like driving off
road yourself there are plenty of people
happy to do that for you on a
Jeep
safari. These are not only a
whole lot of fun but also informative
about the island. Many of the tour
guides have either lived on the island a
long time or are multi-lingual Cypriots.
Whatever the reason for joining a tour
you are sure to enjoy it.
Quad bikes have recently found
their way onto the island and several
people have taken advantage of the rough
terrain helping to bring you closer to
nature. A full bike demonstration
and safety talk is given prior to your
adventure whether you are an expert of
not. Safety comes first. All
the bikes are road legal and have front
and rear brakes, thumb throttles and
soft suspensions all help give
exceptional handling and means that you
can enjoy this adventure at any age.
Although not every Cypriot is a horse
enthusiast, there are enough around for
you to be able to see the Akamas
Peninsular and more from horse back.
Georges Ranch passed Coral Bay
towards Ayios Georgios, is open all year
round and with his experience and that
of his guides can ensure that whether
this is your first or your fiftieth ride
you won't forget it in a hurry.
