Where to go around the coast of Paphos

There are a many number of boat trips that can be taken from the harbour at Paphos.  Dependant on your schedule you can either go out for a half or a full day trip.

The trips with either take you up the coast to Coral Bay and Lara Bay area of the Akamas Peninsular or alternatively, to the airport and Timi beach and picnic area and beyond.

There are stop off points along the way for you to have a swim in the secluded bays and on the full day trips a beach stop off for a BBQ style buffet lunch.

The main boats/ships to enjoy this excursion on are the Wave Dancer, which is a converted ferry and holds up to 400 people.  There is also the Jolly Roger a good old fashioned style pirate ship, both of which can be hired for wedding trips as they have good catering facilities, a fully licensed bar and plenty of space for dancing.

If you are looking for something a bit more high speed then Tiger Trips are the thing for you.  Two high speed jet boats "Swing Lo" and Sweet Chariot" will take you on a twisting turning wave leaping ride up to the Akamas Peninsular and then a much slower trip back so that you can take in the beauty of the coast line that just took you minutes to go passed.  There is also the option of extending your trip and heading to Timi beach for a BBQ before a road return to Paphos.  From the names of the boats you can tell that the owners are rugby fans and their two young sons play with the Paphos Tigers Minis Rugby team.

Fishing Trips are also available from Paphos harbour.  The main catch in the area is tuna although it has been known that small sharks have been landed further out at sea.  Fishing trips are either early morning, afternoon and occasionally night fishing is available however, this depends on the forecasted weather for the next 24hours.

Although it is very unusual to have adverse weather during the spring and summer it is always possible.  The excursion company you book with is bound by the Harbour Police and the harbour can be closed by the Police if they feel that the conditions are unsuitable.  In the event that this happens please speak directly to your excursion company and they will advise you accordingly regarding rescheduling your trip or gaining a refund.
