Listed below are a few important
details to assist you when booking your
accommodation.
Assistance in Resort
You have
chosen to spend you holiday in a private villa or apartment and as such we intend to respect your privacy.
This means that we will not be hustling
you onto the local coach trips (unless
you would like us to) or asking you to
attend "welcome meetings" that take huge
chunks of time out of your precious
holiday.
However, should you need them our Resort
Manager is at hand and available 7 days
a week. They will also call at
your accommodation midway through your
first week to answer any questions that
may have arisen since your arrival.
You can contact the Resort Manager on
00357 9904 7693 (emergencies only after
7pm)
Child Safety
Although the
safety of your children is important to
us please ensure that they are
supervised at all times especially when
near any swimming pool areas and high
balconies. The final
responsibility of your children rests
with you.
Disabled Customers
Although MedSun Holidays is not a
specialist provider we try where possible to ensure that
our properties are suitable for as wide
a range of guest as possible. We hope that
in providing
you with enough information regarding
each property, you can choose the one
that suits your needs the most. If you
do have any special requirements please
notify us of these and will aim to
provide you with a number of properties
that match your holiday requirements as
well.
Occupation/Vacation of your
holiday accommodation
In general our properties can be
occupied from 2pm onwards. In
order for us to ensure that the property
has been properly prepared for the next
guests arrival we ask that you vacate
the property but 10am on the day of your
departure. In making your travel
arrangements your travel consultant will
be able to advise you of suitable
flights so that you can avoid long
waiting time entering or leaving the
property.
In some circumstances we may be able to
extend the vacation time at a small
additional fee. Please ask our
Resort Manager on your arrival if you
require this service.
Maid Service
Maid service varies from property to
property. Standard service is for
linen and towels to be provided prior to
your arrival and changed on a weekly
basis (if stay longer than 1 week).
Towels at the property are for bathing
use only and we request that they are
not used for sun bathing by the pool or
taken to the beach. So villa
owners do provide beach towels at an
additional charge for the duration of
your stay and is specified within the
property details.
High Chairs and Cots
If you require high chairs or cots
please notify us at the time of booking,
so that we can ensure there availability
on your arrival. A supplementary
charge will be added to your invoice.
Cots are provided locally and may differ
to those you use at home. Some
property owners provide a travel cot and
unless specified all cots are provided
without bed linen for hygiene reasons.
Pool Garden and Property
Maintenance
If the property you have chosen has
a pool or garden these will be tended to
by the owner of the property or by staff
who have access to the property and
villa. The garden areas are tended
once per week, the pools are tended to
twice a week. The maintenance of
the pool and garden are normally
completed in the early morning, however
these agents do not have fixed hours and
so we would be unable to provide the
exact time of their arrival.
However if you have any concerns
regarding the cleanliness of the pool
please contact us and we will arrange
for the owner/pool cleaner to attend
immediately.
If you have children and are renting a
property with a pool please ensure that
they are supervised at all times in the
pool area. If there is an
"Infinity" style pool please take extra
care as these pools have an open drop
from the edge of the pool.
The property is checked prior to your
arrival and after your departure for any
faults. This is so that you enter
your holiday villa with everything in
full working order, for you to enjoy
your time away to the maximum. If
any faults arise during your stay please
let us know so that we can inform the
owner of the property and repair or
replace the affected item.
Personal Security
Unfortunately, crime is a fact of
life throughout the world. Although we
try to ensure that we provide adequate
security at the properties you must take
responsibility for you and your personal
affects at all times. Some of the
properties listed there is access to a
safety deposit box. We advise in
these circumstances that items such as
passports, cash, travellers cheques and
and jewellery and any other items of
personal value are placed in the deposit
box when not in use.
Passports/Entry Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure that
you have a valid passport and visa to
enter Cyprus. As Cyprus is a full
member of the of EU (European Union)
holders of a full British passport do
not require a visa. British
Nationals may stay in Cyprus as a
visitor for up to 90 days and you should
ensure that your passport is valid for
the duration of your proposed stay.
For longer stays, you will need to apply
for a residence permit by contacting the
Civil Registration and Migration
Department.
If you require further information
please contact the High Commission of
the Republic of Cyprus in London on 00
44 (0)207499 8272.
Insects and Animals
Mosquito's are endemic to the warm
climate of Cyprus especially during the
summer months. You will also find
ants and cockroaches along with other
insects. Mosquito's can be kept at
bay by a good repellent and some
properties have netted screens to reduce
their access to the property.
There are also mosquito plug ins
available locally for a few pounds and
are worth the money as they also deter
other insects. Although not ideal
in such a hot climate children should be
kept covered at all times to reduce the
risk of a bite further.
With many properties being surrounded by
gardened areas and farm land there is
also the risk of rats and mice. Cyprus
is also the island of cats and many roam
wild around the complexes in search of
food. We request that you do not
feed these animals as they quickly
become accustom to the source of food.
This can not only become an irritation
to you and your family but they will
also continue to seek food from the
property after your departure.
